Because of that, he made it his life goal to surpass his brother to prove it to his father that he was better. It helped add to his character.

Posts: 1,860 Group: Elite Member Member #12,337 Joined: May 18, 2015	Since Toriyama designed him, I doubt he takes issue with Cooler's design as Freeza's sibling, but I doubt it will be Cooler if we do see any more of the family. It seems to constantly be Toriyama's strategy to neither accept or decline these extra aspects, but simply do it another way. Adding another of the Freeza clan won't make Cooler overwritten. Only as confirmed or unconfirmed as he always was.

I would simply prefer to see new villains/enemies, not one that we've already seen in two films.

The entire family consists of mutants, it'd make sense if Cooler were at least a bit stronger than normal, and training basically has no limits in Dragon Ball, so him being stronger or at least as strong as Frieza with a lot of training isn't too far fetched. Even if the only holdover from his previous animated appearances is his familiar character design alone, having him back in the picture would be great to see, especially following on from the events of the new movie.
